Om Malik's blog network GigaOmniMedia has made its second acquisition… it has acquired The Apple Blog, which exclusively covers one of the blogosphere's favorite companies. The deal comes not long after the acquisition of mobile-focused site jkOnTheRun. Terms of the deal, which should probably be described as an acq-hire, were not disclosed. The site is edited by Josh Pigford, who started it back in 2004. The acquisition follows closely on the news that Om would give up the CEO job and take a position as a partner at True Ventures, the VC firm with an investment in his network. In that announcement, he said that adding new blogs was a bkey part of the plan going forward.
